The second edition of the MPPU International Program began with a meaningful message from Felipe Paullier, United Nations Assistant Secretary-General for Youth Affairs, delivered by Martha Barreneche of the United Nations Youth Office.
For the more than 600 young leaders from around the world taking part in the MPPU School, receiving a message at this level is deeply significant. It is a powerful recognition of the importance of their journey and of the role that young people can play in shaping the future of our societies and our world.
The message highlighted the urgent need for a new model of leadership grounded in “participation, dialogue, collaboration and shared responsibility”, values that lie at the heart of the MPPU International Program and its commitment to forming leaders capable of rebuilding trust, strengthening communities and creating bridges across cultures.
MPPU said, “We are deeply grateful to the United Nations Youth Office for accompanying this journey and for believing in the power of young people to contribute to a more united and peaceful world.”
