The Focolare Movement in Ireland is hosting its next community meeting at the Focolare Centre in Curryhills, Prosperous, Co. Kildare, on Sunday 19th April from 12:00 noon to 3:30pm.

These regular gatherings, well known across the Focolare community in Ireland, bring together people of all ages for an afternoon of shared reflection, dialogue and simple fellowship. Rooted in the Movement’s spirituality of unity, the meetings offer a space where everyday experiences are shared and deeper bonds of community are built.

At a time marked by global instability, rising tensions, and growing investment in arms and defence, the event highlights the importance of creating spaces that foster peace, understanding and human connection.

Focolare Centre Coordinator, Ann Gavin said:
“In a world that often feels increasingly divided and uncertain, these gatherings are a small but real response, bringing people together across generations to listen, to care and to rediscover the values of peace and dialogue. We believe that unity begins in these simple encounters and that it is through relationships that a more humane world can be built.”

Previous meetings at Curryhills have been described as moments of “family-like warmth,” where participants experience a sense of belonging and renewed hope. The upcoming event, titled A New Start, reflects both the spring season and a shared desire to respond positively to the challenges of our time.

All are welcome to attend (with your packed lunch, tea and coffee available).
