Yes, it’s that time of year again!
Following a well supported action last year, the Focolare community in NI is once again delighted to support The People’s Kitchen with a Christmas Backpack Appeal for women in need.
In the spirit of the Focolare’s theme for this year, “Being Close”, as encouraged by President Margaret Karram, we’re invited to reach out with warmth and compassion to those who are struggling most. This small, practical gesture is a way of drawing near, bringing not just comfort but dignity and care to others.
We’re inviting friends, families and communities to gather some or all of the items listed (unused please), to help fill Christmas backpacks for women.
The People’s Kitchen does incredible work every day, offering food, friendship and vital support to people experiencing homelessness or hardship. By joining forces with them, we can ensure that every woman accessing their services this Christmas receives something personal, thoughtful and prepared with love.
