The Focolare Movement is preparing for its Ordinary General Assembly, scheduled for 1–21 March 2026. This important event, held every five years, serves as the Movement’s highest governing body and involves participants from all vocations and regions.
Key Purposes of the Assembly:
- To strengthen unity within the Movement.
- To elect the new President, Co-President, and General Councillors.
- To review and possibly revise the General Statutes and Regulations.
- To set priorities and action plans for the next five years in response to global and local challenges.
The process begins with a letter of convocation from current President Margaret Karram, followed by a widespread process of listening and discernment across the Movement, inspired by the synodal style.
The Assembly will open with a three-day spiritual retreat, then proceed to discussions, elections, and setting priorities. Contributions from local communities worldwide are essential throughout both the preparation and implementation phases.
How to Participate:
Anyone involved in the Focolare Movement can share ideas or proposals through their local communities. Questions can be directed to ag2026.cpa@focolare.org.
The hope is that this journey will be a deeply spiritual and collaborative experience, helping to shape the Movement’s future in service to humanity.
